Refund & Cancellation Policy
How subscriptions are cancelled, when money comes back, and what happens when a render fails.
Version 0.1 · Last updated 26 August 2026
1. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — you keep full access until then, and you are not billed again. We do not pro-rate a partially used month.
2. Failed generations are refunded automatically
This is the important one, and it is automatic. When you start a render we place a hold on the credits it is estimated to need. If a generation fails — a provider is down, a model errors, the pipeline exhausts its retries — the hold is returned to your balance in full, without you asking.
When a render succeeds for less than we estimated, the difference is released back to you as well. You are charged for what was actually used, not what was quoted.
A generation that succeeds is not refundable on the basis that you did not like the result. That is what the draft pass and the storyboard approval step are for: nothing bills a full render until you approve it.
3. Credit top-ups
Top-up credit packs are non-refundable once purchased, except:
- credits consumed by a failed generation, which are refunded automatically as above;
- a first purchase, which we will refund in full within 7 days if you have used fewer than [FIRST-PURCHASE REFUND THRESHOLD] credits;
- where a refund is required by law.
4. Duplicate and mistaken charges
If you are billed twice for the same period, or billed after cancelling, contact [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we will refund it. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and to process an agreed refund within 5–7 business days, though the time for it to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, account or person.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before raising a chargeback — most disputes are a billing error we can fix faster than your bank can. Where a chargeback is raised we may suspend the account while the dispute is open, and we will provide the payment processor with the account and usage records relevant to it.
7. Price changes
We may change plan prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of its current period, and we give notice before a new price applies.
